Nacha has gained experience in various specialties through private apprenticeships. She has apprenticed with Dr. David Miller, who is one of the only physicians in the U.S. dually board certified in Pediatrics and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has also apprenticed with Dr. Lixin Sha, who has over 30 years experience in Eastern and Western Medicine. These experiences have helped her form a philosophy of utilizing and integrating Eastern and Western modalities when necessary, to treat underlying causes of imbalance. In addition to pediatrics, Nacha has held specialty internships in orthopedic acupuncture. Nacha’s interests include Orthopedics and pain management, women’s health including fertility, digestive disorders, pediatrics, dermatology, chronic and autoimmune disorders, and geriatrics.
Nacha’s background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. She began work first, in a Physical Rehabilitation setting directing cognitive therapy, and community reintegration programs for patients who suffered traumatic brain injuries, CVA’s, and spinal cord injuries. These programs focused on re-educating and evaluating the inpatients ability to navigate in the community with a new disability. She then transitioned into Social Services becoming a Therapy Program Coordinator, working with at risk youth in the Specialized Foster Care system developing programs aimed at social skills and life skills development. Nacha has also been a practicing licensed massage therapist for 20 years. Her work in these areas eventually led to a natural progression and a passion to work in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine continuing her desire to be of service to others and to bring balance into her patients lives.
We are honored to have Nacha join the Hart Chiropractic staff and excited to offer her expertise to our patients!
